What are the amounts of sick pay and do they coincide?

The amount of Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) is currently £75.40 per week and is taxable in the normal way. SSP is different from state sickness benefit, which is not taxable, and is available from the Benefit Agency. An employee on sickness absence would not be entitled to claim both benefits.
