head head head

If my disability meets these conditions, do I automatically qualify?

No. The statutory definition of 'disability' does not specify the kinds of work tasks that you are able or are not able to carry out. However, you should be aware that medical diagnosis does not automatically mean the DDA applies to your case.

In many Employment Tribunal (ET) cases, the employer's first line of defence is to deny that you, the claimant, are 'disabled' under the terms of the DDA. So proper legal and medical advice is essential unless the disability is not contested. The ET will treat each case on its own merits.
