If your shift involves working, as a normal course, at least 3 hours between 11pm and 6am, then you are a night worker and the restriction on working hours applies.
An individual works hours 'as a normal course' if he or she works such hours on a majority of days. A person working night work as part of a rotating shift pattern will also be covered if more than one third of their time is spent working at night.
