head head head

I think I am being discriminated against because I am part time. What can I do?

As a part time worker you have the right to be treated no less favourably than a comparable full time worker unless there is a reason for the difference in treatment that can be objectively justified.

If you believe your employer is treating you less favourably on the grounds of you being a part time worker you must exhaust the internal procedures and bring a formal grievance against your employer. If you are unable to resolve this matter internally, then you can present a claim that you have received less favourable treatment as a part time worker to an employment tribunal, but you must only do this once you have exhausted the grievance procedure and within the specified time limits. If you have raised the issue on several occasions, the time limits will begin from the date of your last complaint.
