discipline, rules, regulations and policies

To comply with the ACAS Code of Practice on Disciplinaries and Grievances, your employer should have written policies and procedures for how workplace issues are dealt with.

Company policies may be legally binding if they are included in the contract of employment, or it may be clear that breaches of policies will be regarded as misconduct and subject to disciplinary action, so make sure you’re aware of all the rules which apply to you at work.

You are entitled to a written statement of particulars of employment, including reference to details of any disciplinary rules, within 2 months of starting your job.
