I am pregnant. What are the risks of working with a computer?

There is no clear evidence of health risk, but to avoid stress and anxiety, many employers advise employees to:

• Approach your team leader or supervisor, to discuss your concerns.
• If your concerns remain, a transfer to other work away from your computer/display screen equipment, should be made available during pregnancy.
• Transfer on your existing grade (salary and conditions), with no demotion. As long as your working conditions are protected, you may agree to a temporary transfer to another section or department.
