As soon as you’re invited to an interview, begin learning as much about the organisation as you can. Using all the sources you can find – the internet, newspapers, magazines, libraries, corporate literature, well informed friends – bone up on what your potential employer is all about and your potential role in it.
Come up with some intelligent questions about the organisation, questions about strategy, the way they operate or how they deal with particular problems. You will be invited to ask questions, and the harder your interviewers will need to think about their answers, the better they’ll remember you.
